High Lorton is a small village situated between Keswick and Cockermouth at the northern end of Lorton Vale, a beautiful valley which runs from Cockermouth in the west to Buttermere in the east. It's an ideal base for walking the fells, touring or just relaxing.
The cottages are built upside down - the lounge is upstairs to take advantage of the views over the fells. They each have one double bed room and one twin room so sleep four. There is a small but well equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher and each cottage has off street parking for two cars.
We're not always on site, but when we are, our two Golden Retrievers Dryfus and Magill will give you a welcome typical of the breed. Oh, and we're quite friendly too! For more information please send an email or visit our own web site.
