Starting Your Marine Aquarium

David Boruchowitz
TFH Publications
ISBN 0 7938 0360 8

This book deals with both fish and invertebrates. It is an inexpensive, slim, volume (64 pages, excluding index) which lays great stress on keeping it simple. There are chapters on tanks, filtrations and aeration, the fish, feeding the fish, and health issues. This is a work geared to beginners, and is useful in helping novices avoid some pitfalls, but will need to be supplemented by other reading if you want to go beyond a starter tank. There are some excellent illustrations of fish and invertebrates. Pet products are also illustrated, not all of which may be available in Britain, since the book is geared to the US market.
